Apply for Admission to Coastline
OpenCCC
Before applying for admission to Coastline, you must have an OpenCCC account. OpenCCC allows you to access California Community Colleges secure web applications. The California Community Colleges and OpenCCC use email to send you important information.
You will need to provide an email address when you create your account. All information is kept secure and private as explained in the Privacy Policy. By creating an OpenCCC account, you are agreeing to the terms and conditions of the Privacy Policy.
New Students
- New students must apply for admission before registering for courses.
- If you were a Coastline student and have not been enrolled for more than six months, you need to reapply.
- New students need to designate Coastline’s Military & Corporate Program when completing the online admissions application.
- There is no fee to apply to Coastline College.
Military & Corporate Programs Designation
To ensure that the admissions application is forwarded to Coastline’s Military and Contract Education Department, students must select “Military Program” from the “Extended Learning Division” box located on the Supplemental Questions (on page 8) of the online application.
Continuing Students
- Continuing students who are registered for the current or previous session do not need to reapply.
- Registration appointments will automatically be issued to continuing students.

Application Processing
- Please allow 3-5 business days for application processing.
- Acceptance emails are issued to provide students with Coastline student information, including MyCoast login and college-issued email account information, after applications are processed.
- Please add CCCAdmissions@cccd.edu (unmonitored account), and ELDEnrollment@Coastline.edu to your Approved Senders list. Some Internet service providers filter or trash mail from Coastline. Students should check Junk Mail Folders if an acceptance email has not been received within one week of application submission.
