According to the U.S. Department of Labor, Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment of construction and extraction occupations is projected to grow 11% from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations, a gain of about 747,600 new jobs. Overall growth in the economy and population will increase demand for new and renovated buildings, roads, and other infrastructure, which will create new jobs in the construction, utilities, and energy sectors.
Note: MC3 Training is a financially assisted program that is an equal opportunity employer/program. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request for individuals with disabilities.
The median annual wage* for all construction and extraction occupations was $44,730 in May 2017, which was higher than the median annual wage for all occupations of $37,690.
